Don’t get me wrong, not ALL cardio is bad.

There’s a time and place for it, but that time is certainly not at the beginning of the fat burning process.

Doing too much cardio too early will actually LOWER your metabolism!

This is because excessive cardio will activate your bodies survival mechanisms. All this sudden cardio is interpreted as stress by your body.

Your body responds to stress by decreasing the release and consumption of stored body fat for energy. In fact, too much stress will cause your body to release a nasty fat storing hormone called Cortisol.

This means that too much cardio will not only cause your body to stop releasing and burning body fat, but it could actually cause you to store MORE body fat!

As your ability to burn calories at rest decreases you will either have to do more cardio or reduce your calories even further in an effort to keep burning fat – both of which will continue to KILL your metabolism.

Bodybuilding Myth #4
“You can only build muscle and burn fat by eating clean.”

When you drop everything except for “clean” foods from your diet, you run into a HUGE problem.

If you remove all of the foods that you like to eat and limit yourself to only a few foods like broccoli and dry chicken breast you’re not going to be successful…at least not for very long.
